  • Your technician will consult with the customer to ask questions and get visual on the issue to identify the water source and the proper course of action. Our team will remove any damaged material, or materials in the way of proper exposure of the guts of your home, dry-out the flooded area, and obtain moisture reading verification for pre/post reporting with your insurance adjustor.

  • Contaminated water-loss is separated into two categories: blackwater back-ups usually come from toilets containing human waste, and greywater back-ups from sinks, showers, and other drainage sources. Your technician will consult with you to ask questions and get visuals on the source of the issue to properly determine the best course of action. Unlike clean water-loss events, black and grey water contaminates surfaces and house-hold belongings upon contact and requires proper disposal, waste removal, and sanitation to prevent hazardous conditions.

Tips & Tricks for Water Damage

Stop the source: If possible, shut off the water supply or fix leaks to prevent further damage.

Remove excess water: Safely blot or mop standing water and lift items like rugs or furniture off damp flooring.

Increase airflow: Open windows and use fans (if electrical outlets are safe to use) to promote drying.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Staining, discoloration,  bubbling, peeling paint, and odor(s) can be key indicators of a current or a past water-loss event. A technician will assess your area(s) of concern, utilize moisture detection, and determine the appropriate steps to move forward.

  • Call your agent immediately. Any delay can lead to higher chances of claim denial. If you call a mitigation professional first– that is okay, but if you make sure you contact both parties within 12 hours of your water-loss event– it will give you the highest chances of claim approval.

  • Immediately, find the appropriate water shut-off. If your leak is in a wall or a crawlspace, find your main shut-off valve. If your leak is at a sink, toilet, etc. find the supply shut-off valve to that particular unit. Then you can clean up standing water, contact your agent and mitigation expert.
